Community Leader — 25+ years of volunteer leadership and service in Atchison and Kansas at the state level.
Government Experience — Served in Kansas City, KS county and city government, including the county assessor's office.
Fiscal Leadership — Managed multi-million dollar budgets as executive director and as board chairman of national and regional membership associations.
Analytical Strengths — retired college professor: PhD in public policy and political science; MS in public services; BA from St. Benedict's College in Atchison.
Military Service — Officer in the Kansas Army National Guard.
Local Business Owner — Owned and operated an Atchison bed & breakfast.

Solid waste is a vital service you use every day. I’ll work hard to keep costs reasonable and deliver results that you deserve.

Public safety is the promise of local government. The county guarantees you emergency medical services at all times.

Strategic vision is what Abraham Lincoln brought to Atchison in 1859. You deserve county leadership that will do the same.

Taxes & budgets must be carefully collected and spent. You deserve that. The commission has the final say, for you.

Rural needs are a huge part of the 2nd district. You deserve a commissioner who listens to citizens in every township.

Tradition is wonderful, but the county should do its business in modern terms. You deserve progress in that direction.

Future Land Use should protect the traditions and beauty of the county. You deserve safeguards from losing those.

Federal and state laws affect what we can and should do. You deserve a commission that understands those costs & benefits.
